Jeff seriously lucked out when he interviewed for a job at a market research firm in Durham. Not only did he score a job; he also met his future wife, Melia.
Jeff and Melia’s relationship started as a working one. As their friendship grew, they found each other hanging out and talking a little more…and a little more. Jeff admits to offering Melia rides to company softball games just to spend more time with her. They had so much fun when they were together that before long, Jeff was orchestrating an elaborate plan to propose to Melia at the softball field where they had spent so much time together.
Jeff and Melia love Asheville, NC’s vintage feel with a modern twist, so when it came time to choose a wedding venue, it was a no brainer. The details around their wedding followed the same theme, with a focus on the family and friends that were a part of their journey…making their wedding unique and personal. Jeff even wore his grandmother’s pelican pin on his lapel and his grandfather’s white bucks to include his late grandparents in the celebration of their marriage.
Jeff told me that you know you have “a keeper” when you don’t need anything to be entertained…you just need each other to have a good time. After spending some time with them, I could tell that entertainment was definitely not necessary for these two. They have a complimenting energy that results in a plain ole good time, regardless of where they are or what they are doing. This playful energy reached maximum capacity on the day they were married and I had so much fun as their wedding photographer, capturing that kind of joyful love through my lens.
Congratulations, Jeff and Melia, on finding your “keeper”. Keep having fun!
