I get asked a lot if I have a studio. I don't. I would rather shoot in places that are important to people. For example Colby has an incredible love of those beautiful spaces we, as a society, have abandoned. It's a unique part of her story and her personality so I wanted to make that the centerpiece of her Bridal Session. We went a lot of places that most brides would never venture but that's what makes her session as unique as she is.
For this shot, we are at an abandoned strip mall. Everything is boarded up, trash everywhere, and broken glass on the ground but by slightly changing how we see things, it become a place of ethereal, magical beauty.
Shot with my beloved tilt-shift lens while I precariously lie among the broken shards of glass. It may have been slightly dangerous but I would do it again in a heartbeat for a shot like this.
