In reality, we are standing in the rain and the light from a flash behind her gives the backlighting glow and that falling snow impression. We took the shot moments after the party was all over and before she and her husband ended their evening. The shot took only moments to create and what you can see is that she is surrounded by friends at the entrance to Melville Castle and family holding sparklers. a good shot is sometime more about what you can't see than what you can!
