Romance sessions are often shot after the ceremony and sometimes during the reception. As your photographer, I will work with you and your planners to make sure we have optimal time to shoot dramatic and intimate portraits of you and your new spouse while minimizing the time you are away from your guests. Depending on your schedule, we may even break up the amount of time into smaller chunks throughout the night so your guests won't even notice you are gone.
For Romilly and Adam's wedding at Melville Castle, we did the Romance session during two distinct times. First, we did a session a little before sunset and immediately following the ceremony. This gave the guests time to go to the cocktail hour and enjoy a little breather before the festivities began. Then, at the end of the night, I spirited away the happy could for a few more images in the rain.
Romance sessions can be as formal or personal as you would like them to be. Often, prior to the event, we will get together to decide exactly what you are looking for. Then, on the wedding day, as your photographers, we will take a look around the venue, check out the lighting options, and give you the best backdrops possible.
Romance Sessions are as diverse as our clients are! We make every effort to make them unique to your personal story. Often these beautiful images become the anchor pieces for your wedding album as well as becoming the wall art in your home after the big event.
