Traci: What is the absolute best thing about Scott? What would he say about you?

Kristen: I think his best qualities are his talent and his dedication to the things he cares about. He has told me before that my best qualities are my sense of humor and my compassion.<\/i><\/b><\/address>\n

Kristen and Scott found my website after googling North Carolina fine art wedding photographers. Um, thank you, google! Without it, I would not have had the chance to meet this uber cool, relaxed and sweet couple. Kristen is angelically beautiful and Scott is romantic and handsome.<\/p>\n

Kristen and Scott LOVE to travel so they chose a special destination for their wedding at Camp Pinnacle, near Hanging Rock. Kristen and Scott fell in love with each other here so to say it is a special place to them is an understatement. It was a gorgeous location filled with charm and personality and a ton of visual potential.<\/p>\n

Traci: What is the coolest thing about your wedding?<\/i><\/b><\/address>\n
Kristen: Probably the venue, and the fact that we will have the entire place booked for the whole weekend. Hopefully all this extra time will ease the stress and make it a semi-casual relaxed event.<\/i><\/b><\/address>\n

What could be even better than an awesome couple and a gorgeous location?\u00a0 Access to go anywhere on the campground and an entire weekend to play with the natural landscape. I was able to incorporate hiking trails and the natural canopy of woods in their photographs. I love the shots on the archery range where she is holding arrows and the one where they are leaning up against an old wooden wall and he is kissing her shoulder. Gorg. There were just so many natural elements involved in this wedding as well as some phenomenal details\u2026details that weren\u2019t necessarily expensive but were so incredibly personal that they made the wedding that much more special. For example, they used a globe as a guest book. Their friends sang to them at the reception. Their handwritten vows were personal and they let me use as a backdrop to their ring shot.<\/p>\n

Traci: Will there be any special moments during the event that are out of the norm?<\/i><\/b><\/address>\n
Kristen: I am very interested in a “trash the dress” session at Moore’s Springs or Hanging Rock<\/i><\/b><\/address>\n

Kristen and Scott knew they had their campground for the entire weekend and really wanted to focus on their friends and family on their wedding day. But, the next day?\u00a0 We spent THREE hours on a romance session. Kristen and Scott got all decked out in their wedding gear and we hiked all over the place, grabbing some spectacular images in the woods. Kristen wasn\u2019t worried about ruining her dress and she wasn\u2019t scared to do whatever it took to get the shots.<\/p>\n

Traci: Why am I the right photographer for you guys?
\n<\/i><\/b><\/address>\n
Kristen: Judging by your photos, it seems that you have a better grasp on how to use lighting, framing, and composition in more interesting and beautiful ways than a lot of the photographers I looked at. Most of what I saw when browsing, were photos that were fine, but not really all that fascinating- which was not something I thought when I saw your work.<\/i><\/b><\/address>\n

I\u2019ve mentioned some of my favorite images from this wedding, but I also love the one of Kristen getting ready in front of a child\u2019s chalkboard. It is playful and magical.<\/p>\n

Another personal favorite? Kristen and Scott chose to do a first look. Scott was blindfolded when Kristen came to him in a glade of woods. These images are enchanting and romantic. Much like Kristen and Scott. Love. Love. Love.<\/p>\n

Kristen and Scott\u2019s wedding was even featured on the Huffington Post column \u201cSee Who Got Married This Weekend\u201d with an intimate photograph of them dancing at the reception!<\/p>\n
