Turns out that they were darn good for Brad…especially when you run into the very same girl at a bar that night. They have some serious chemistry that was fun to capture.

Traci: When did you know she was the one?

Brad: On the same day we met…that night we ran into one another at a bar. We stayed locked in conversation the entire night. We had already been there to photograph their engagement session and I couldn’t wait to go back to the vineyards to photograph this kind and gorgeous couple on their wedding day.

Their ceremony was laid-back and centered on family. Brad and Erynn’s toddler, Swayze, was allowed to freely roam the wedding as the flower girl and it added a sweet element to the day…she even talked to them in the middle of the vows. It is easy to see the love this little family of three has for one another.

Traci: What’s the most important thing to you about your wedding photography?

Brad: It is unique to us with lots of spontaneous moments.

It’s hard to pick a favorite image from the wedding, but the intimacy portrayed in the image of Brad and Erynn silhouetted inside the door is a front runner. We left the reception to take this shot and it only took about three minutes to take the photo. Quick AND perfect? Yes, please!

Erynn and Brad are such a cool couple that they left their reception through…wait for it… a tunnel of glow sticks. As they left, I crouched down at the end of their “tunnel” and laid an 8 x 8 mirror on the ground in front of me. I LOVE the fun and different dynamic the reflection of the glow sticks created in the picture – a perfect shot to represent the fun and dynamic couple that I was photographing.

After their first exit, Erynn and Brad drove away from the parking lot and then came back to gather their things. I happened to notice that their guests were still standing around with their glow sticks so I grabbed the chance for one last photo. Everyone circled around Brad and Erynn with their glow sticks, waving them around. It created a colorful and spirited frame for their last kiss before they exited their wedding day for the last time. Sometimes one of the best shots of the day can come from a completely unplanned moment.

Brad and Erynn, I loved being a part of your colorful vineyard wedding! Congrats!

NOTE: While no photographers were harmed during the photographing of this event, I may or may not have lost a shoe during the ceremony and shot barefoot. The shoe was eventually recovered.

Traci: What is one of the best things about your beloved?
