{"id":1949,"date":"2014-06-07T14:46:28","date_gmt":"2014-06-07T14:46:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/traciarneyphotography.com\/?p=1949"},"modified":"2018-01-23T01:28:16","modified_gmt":"2018-01-23T01:28:16","slug":"neala-and-ben-are-married-a-tryon-palace-wedding","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/traciarneyphotography.com\/blog\/neala-and-ben-are-married-a-tryon-palace-wedding\/","title":{"rendered":"Neala and Ben Are Married | A Tryon Palace Wedding"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I gotta tell you\u2026I am a little bit in love with fearless brides.\u00a0 They make my job feel easy.\u00a0 And really fun.<\/p>\n<p>Fearless is embracing the tree you have become, without forgetting your roots.\u00a0 I knew as soon as I met Neala, I had myself a fearless bride.<\/p>\n<p>Neala is a talented and sophisticated interior designer from NYC.\u00a0 She possesses grace and confidence which results in an effortless beauty.\u00a0 She and I spent a day together, shooting her bridal portrait, chatting about her and Ben\u2019s courtship, her deep roots to New Bern, North Carolina and her wedding design.\u00a0 I could tell she was passionate about all three and I knew that those emotions would shine right through in the wedding photography.\u00a0 Neala and Ben met in a Spanish class at Gettysburg College, when they were only freshmen. But they did not intimately connect until three years later when they found themselves in an Art History class as seniors.\u00a0 It was on a field trip to Walter\u2019s Art Museum in Baltimore that Ben offered up a seat, a sandwich and some funny videos.\u00a0 The rest?\u00a0 Well, I think you know how the story ends\u2026with a new beginning.<\/p>\n<p>I usually meet the groom during the engagement session, but Ben had a demanding schedule as a law clerk in our nation\u2019s capital, so I did not meet him until the actual wedding.\u00a0 However, despite my late introduction to Ben, the gentle nature between him and Neala was instantly obvious and photographing their relationship was comfortable and organic.<\/p>\n<p>I adored the details that Neala worked into the weekend\u2026the Vera Wang dress she found at a trunk sale, the perfectly delicate centerpieces, the traditional Southern Hummingbird cake and the gorgeous canvas and pole tent, (or as Neala aptly described it: an Alice and Wonderland confection).\u00a0 Each and every detail was carefully considered by Neala herself, combining stylish design with history and heritage.\u00a0 The reception took place at Tryon Palace.\u00a0 Located in New Bern, Tryon Palace holds significance relevance for Neala.\u00a0 It\u2019s where her grandmother worked as a tour guide and still lives in a beautiful stately waterfront house right outside of the property.<\/p>\n<p>So, here\u2019s to embracing those deep roots.\u00a0 Here\u2019s to growing new branches off that tree.\u00a0 And here\u2019s to Ben and Neala.\u00a0 I loved being a part of your new beginning.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I gotta tell you\u2026I am a little bit in love with fearless brides.\u00a0 They make my job feel easy.\u00a0 And really fun.
